An early morning house fire in West Valley City kept fire crews busy this morning.
The call came in just a few minutes before 4:00 AM. First arriving units found the home heavily involved in fire. " the fire was already coming through the roof in the rear portion of the structure" Stated Captain Bridger Williams. As crews began to decide how to best fight this one, they found out that the home was vacant and that no one was inside. This made the decision to fight the fire defensively the best option T
Temperatures were in the 20's the Metro rehab unit was called out to support the firefighters by providing them some warmth, coffee, and hot chocolate. Investigators determined that the fire was not suspicious. The cause was determined to be electrical in nature and is still under investigation
